Lady Gaga's - The Fame Monster

Lady Gaga. Two words that have become synonymous with a few things: crazy, larger than life, fashion, fame, and most of all, talent. This b!tch has got it. From the release of the first single Bad Romance, it is apparent that Lady Gaga has still got it when it comes to churning out the catchy hooks and outrageous music videos. This eight-song studio album was intended on being an extended release with The Fame, but Gaga decided that this material was good enough to stand on it's own. I happen to agree. Buy it.

Song By Song Analysis:

Bad Romance: Techno riffs, gibberish, a ridiculously catchy hook, and a ever-so intruiging music video with some French sprinkled on top make for an excellent choice in first single off of this album. Even if the catchiest parts of the song are "rara's and romamama's", it's still catchy - not saying that those are the catchiest parts - the whole song is pop genius, and is apparently (according to Gaga herself) about falling in love with a friend.

Alejandro: Interesante. The beat's melodic chirps remind me of an Ace of Base melody. Note, this is not a bad thing, Ace of Base is pretty amazing. However, this song hasn't really stuck to me like some of the other cuts from this album have. I'm definitely sure it will grow though, because when I initially got this cut a few days ago I kept skipping it; As of yesteday though, I kept it in the album's rotation, and appreciated it. I'm starting to like it.

Monster: "Don't call me Gaga." Haha. Something happens when a producer and artist connect. This is proven with Timberlake/Timbaland, or Carey/Dupri, or Asher Roth/Yoel: magic is made, and everyone can hear it. RedOne and Lady Gaga seem to have found that connection. This song is really awesome. It's just another track for me, but I'm sure if someone is going through this situation, they can rock on to this track. I definitely do not skip it. On the 3:25 mark, some amazing production was done. "That boy that boy that boy... is a monster" Makes my ears feel good.

Speechless: I hate comparisons, but the begining of this song reminds me of something that Freddie Mercury would've sung. The whole song has that sort of sound, the sort of sound she utilized for Brown Eyes, a song from her last album. I don't love it, but I think it's nice. Definitely a better attempt at this sound than Brown Eyes, with a better vocal. I would love to hear her do an accoustic of this.
Dance in the Dark: Holy cow, another comparison. The begining of THIS song reminds me of Careless Whisper by Wham!. I wonder if she intended on this connection, since the song is "Dance in the Dark" and the hook of Careless Whisper includes the line, "I never want to dance again". I also can't help but think Gaga is taking advantage of pop culture's obsession with all things Vampire/Werewolf whe she references reverences said myths in this song. Like the song - I don't skip it, but I'm not really feeeeeeling it.

Telephone: First things first: Beyonce is on this track. This track is flipping awesome. Somehow two completely different genre's have melded together to make something sensational (amazing production). Lady Gaga's techno-electronic-pop and Beyonce's i'm-a-bad-b!tch beats will make you shake that thang and feel their irritation at this bug-a-boo who won't quit calling these ladies. Whoever he was that bugged them, we must thank him for being the inspiration for this jam. This is a jam. Jam out to it.

So Happy I Could Die: Is this song about masterbation? Is this song about same-sex crushes? Did I even have to ask that question? Am I reading too much into this and sounding like a pervert? I don't care either way, this beat is sick. The hook is catchy. I just want to see what this crazy lady does with this song video-wise, if it becomes a single (which it should). I really like this song.

Teeth: What is this? It's really different. Makes me think of vampires again. She really wants to see someone's teeth though, so it probably could be Edward Cullen - I could definitely see her trying to become a vampire (if she already isn't). Yup, she just said "vamp" - oh dear. This song is over some sort of gospel-ish beat, and she keeps trying to pull a Christina Aguilera, and though I do not doubt Gaga's vocal chops, no one can do Christina like Christina. Interesting song. Really wierd though.

2012

The end of the world. It's not the most original concept for a movie, but it definitely does work for this attempt. The graphics are nothing short of spectacular. Watching our planet have it's once-every-half-a-million-year PMS fit is definitely more appealing than watching a significant others', even if the first almost guarantees your immediate death.

Is it worth your money? Well that question can only be answered by you. If you like movies of this type (think: The Day After Tommorow, I Am Legend-ish), then you'll probably like this one more; Unless you just like seeing Will Smith save the world again. I know I do - he's pretty much a regulation bad-ass.

Conclusion? [Almost Spoiler Alert] If Will Smith were in this movie the Earth would've been saved, the travesty that is the apocalypse could've definitely been avoided with his powers of... well powers. But it's John Cusack. So everyone dies. Go figure.

Call of Duty:: Modern Warfare 2

(( I Just Owned You))

Ahh, Call of Duty. The memories we have had together. Many an hour of my life sitting in a dark room in the most comfortable chair, drinking Mountain Dew, and eating Cheetohs you and I. I remember all the fond memories of trash talking racists and the urge to kill a twelve year old boy ((Im talking to you UberDeadlyMouse))

Just recently the new Call of Duty Modern Warefare2 came out. And as with its leading game Call of Duty Modern Warefare, it came out with a bang. There was a countdown and I assure you, I was counting down as well. At the nearest Game Stop that I had my copy reserved at they were oh too willing to put on a show for us Gamers. They had the army there. And I will tell you now and this is going to blow your mind so be ready. They had a tank.

Not just any tank.

A gaming tank. HD tvs lining the insides with all the latest video game systems. And all you had to do was sit in the pod. I seriously almost had a heart attack. I had also managed to pre-order the specail edition. (($150.00) which came with Night Vision Goggles. They are pretty cool, with your classic green set and gray.

GAMEPLAY

The game still runs rather smoothly, though I don't think that anyone was actually playing the story mode. Online play is smooth and the ranking is somewhat more delicate now. New guns and features make this game all the more realistic. They have also added a new thing that they took straight out of the story line. A specail OPPS mode. You and your partner team up to kill your enimies. You on the ground and he in the sky. A specail camera gives you the veiw of heat vision. You are able to see tanks and even the tiny dot people running around on the ground. And even something more realistic. Whoever is on the ground is equipt with a lazer that can point you in the direction of who to bomb next. What?

What Had Happened Waz::

Earlier this year there was plenty of drama surrounding the makers of Modern Warfare. They decided to drop Call of Duty as a Label at the last minute until some very good lawyers got involved. Many were a little sketchy about the new release because of the big flop that Call of duty 5 made. But as always Modern Warfare came through.

Had any Chelsea lately?

Chelsea Handler. Jersey native comedienne is amazing. Gorgeous, ambitious, and down right hilariass, Chelsea Handler has captured audiences' ears and eyes for a few years now and her top rated late night show, Chelsea Lately (which airs weeknights at 11pm) has featured such high profile names such as Jennifer Anniston and that old bitchy model who still thinks of herself as relevant (can't remember her name).

PS. She also has two books out that you should definitely look into, if you like to laugh.

Movies That Don't Blow:: The Boondock Saints

"And Shepherds we shall be
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti."

This movie is considered as what some would say is a modern day morality tale. Two brothers, Connor and Murphey McManus, team up against the Russian Mob because they have been harassing a small South Boston Irish neighborhood. Oh, and did I mention that they believe that the Lord told them to do it? They only want to rid the streets of these gangsters. Is that so wrong? The boys choose to kill only those who prey on the weak. They have become local heros! Now, one somewhat strange FBI agent is in charge of bringing them both down. Starring:: Willem DaFoe, Stan Patrick, Norman Reedus, David Della Rocco, and Billy Connolly.

More Importantly:: I wrote this recent blog because Boondock Saints 2 has recently come to theaters. I was somewhat disturbed when I came to find out that this movie is only playing in certain theaters!! Makes no sense I suppose, because everyone really wants to see Toy Story 1 and 2 again even though they have both the movies on DVD and VHS. Really? But whatever. The Saints get much love from me!

Video Game Reveiws-Dragon Age: Orgins

Dragon Age: Orgins, a game recently released within the past few days has completely taken my soul. Not many games can do this to a person who has a serious case of A.D.D. and certainly not many RPGs can do this to me. In dragon age you can start out as three completely customizable characters. A Dwarf, A Human, or An Elf. You can be male of female, but this does not change the story line for you at all. There are 3 different openings for the story based on which creature you pick. I decided that I was going to do all three at the same time. Im currenly playing on the PS3 so all I did was create two more accounts on my dashboard. Dont try to do it any other way, you WILL erase your previous game and be a sad cow. You are a Grey Warden, one of the very LAST of a super cool legendary order of bad a$$ guardians. You have been chosen not only to solve the problem of an ancient foe and reclaim several cities lost in their own civil war.

FIGHT SEQUENCE:
Although the story line is twisted into several little plots and make the entire game completely interesting, the fight sequence is something to be let down on in my opinion. When I first fought my now level 17 Human Warrior I was somewhat disappointed with the fighting. She would say random corny lines over and over and over again. This actually made me hit the ::pause:: button and go into settings to see if I could shut my poor darlings mouth. Also, if you are playing Dragon Age please note that the fighting is EXACTLY like World of Warcraft. In my terms really doesnt interest me but Im sure this game has already stolen thousands of Die hard WOW players.

Dragon Age Orgins gets 4 KNUCKLE BABIES out of 5.

Good job Edge of Reality, BioWare, and EA!

P.S. This game is rated M for blood, intense violence, language, partial nudity and sexual content.

Movies That Dont Blow -Tank Girl

TANK GIRL
Known as a bada$$ movie that refuses to give back the hour and fourty three minutes of your life that you spent watching it. In this 1995 smash hit, its 2033. As everyone predicted, the world is pretty much a giant crap hole! Nothing, no t.v., no computers, not even any water. A mega-douchbag villain, Kesslee (Played by Malcolm McDowell), is the leader of Water & Power, and holds the world by our danger zones. He ONLY controls all the water and power in the entire WORLD! Unfortunately for him, there are two completely awesome things that stand in his way.
1.) The Rippers, half men, half kangaroo. Yes they went there. They are an army whose sole purpose is to take down W&P.
2.) A girl, and a tank. Tank Girl (Played by Lori Petty)
I give this four out of five nuckle babies!
\m/><\m/-Knuckles. P.S. The girl that playes as tank girl has an uncanny strange resembalence to Gwen Stefani.

Rihanna's Second Single!

"Wait Your Turn", Rihanna's second single from her upcoming album, Rated R is lackluster compared to her last attempt ("Russian Roulette") and is boring to say the least. I actually had a problem listening to it the whole way though due to the fact that it seems so repetitive but says so little thoughout its various chants and mantras. What do you think?
PS. You'd think she would have amazing emotional material to draw from after her issue with Chris "I'm a lady hitter" Brown. I'm actually disappointed. I guess nothing good came out of that except for the demise of his annoying career. (I honestly never liked him, his voice especially.)

"There Ain't No Rest For The Wicked"

"Welcome To Pandora"

This delightful first-person-shooter, starts you off in a raggedy old bus with the familiar bad-a$$ song "There ain't no rest for the wicked". The beginning intro itself pumps you for this magnificent game. Although Cell-Shaded games aren't a favorite amongst many gamers, I myself love it. The art work and make of the entire game is completely amazing.
The whole story of the game is that you can pick one of four amazingly made characters:
1.) Roland "The Soldier" who specializes in Rifles and Shotguns.
2.) Mordecai "The Hunter." who is a master at long ranged combat, using sniper rifles and Revolvers and "Blood Wing" a trained bird.
3.) Lilith "The Siren" one of deceit and trickery she has the ability to shock and uses "corrosive guns."
4.) Brick "As himself" A fully loaded mega Man. If Jason Stathom and Hulk Hogan had a baby. He prefers explosive weapons and well...his fists!
After picking one of four characters you are dropped off in the middle of nowhere to complete different quests to find the location of "The Vault." well you and everyone else under the sun. You encounter strange creatures, such as half bred hyenas, crazy midgets and giant butterflies and use your ever increasing skills to match. I must warn you that multi-player naturally is a little harder than single. And NO you did not hear me wrong I said multi player! You can play with one other person on a split screen basis. This game never ceases to surprise me, though some things can be repetitive. I give this game 5 out of 5. Good job Brady Games, 2K Games, and Gear Box Software!

P.S. If you look closely "T.K." is the spitting image of Quintin Terrintino!

"I'm not playin', I'm just sayin'"

http://www.myspace.com/masterzofsouthernswagg

If laughter was not the goal of this Barnesville-based "rap group", then MOSS (Masterz of Southern Swagg) have failed miserably. The whole song sounds like someone having an epileptic fit that is only audible - yet is so addictive that you can't help listening to it over and over again (like road-kill, Paris Hilton, or Lindsay Lohan). Whatever the case, they are artists of immense potential if you are seeking some light-hearted laughter and a good pick-me-up (since everything is relative, in comparison to these "musicians" you are now on top of the world). However, if you are looking for some real music with depth and non tongue-in-cheek awesomeness, look further.

I agree with rapper #3 in their song We Official, there IS a line between you and other rappers, it is called talent. & contrary to widespread believe, rappers must have talent. Maybe this band's destiny is to show us that.

PS. Their myspace page is screwing up my computer.
PSS. I think there's an entity following me around after listening to this song.
PSSS. They have T-Shirts! Message them for one!
